Background
Gangtey Monastery, also called Gangtey Gonpa, is an important Buddhist monastery in the Phobjikha Valley, Wangdue Phodrang District, Bhutan. It was founded in 1613 by Pema Trinley, the grandson of the famous Tibetan treasure finder Pema Lingpa.
