Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Chorten

Background
Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Chorten is a beautiful stupa in Punakha, Bhutan. The Queen Mother, Ashi Tshering Yangdon Wangchuck, had it built over nine years, and it was finished in 2004. The purpose of the chorten is to bring peace and harmony to the world and to honor Bhutan’s spiritual traditions. It sits on a hill, giving visitors amazing views of the Punakha Valley and the mountains. People can hike to the chorten to enjoy its beauty and peaceful surroundings.
