Kyichu Temple

Background
Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples, was originally constructed in the 7th century by the Tibetan Emperor Songtsen Gampo. Situated in Paro Valley near Paro town in western Bhutan, this temple holds profound historical and religious significance. Due to its historical, cultural, and religious significance, Kyichu Lhakhang is a popular tourist destination in Bhutan.
